KM63UT
KM63UT- (Kennametal Modular 63 Universal Tool Changing)
KM63UT is engineered to provided machine tool builders the capability
of designing a machine around a very rigid and proven system while
maintaining full automation.
Previously the tool V-groove in the KM system permitted automatic tool
changing but without the capability for tool identification chips. The next
generation of multi-function Mill Turn Machines demand flexible and
high-tech tooling systems.
KM63UT is the ultimate in flexible tooling systems and is equipped with
four holes in the V-groove.
Tool changing location features:
• Two horizontally opposed location holes in the V-groove for the tool
changer and for storage in the tool magazine. Located within the two
horizontally opposed holes are countered-bored holes that can be
used for tool orientation.
• Two vertically oriented holes in the V-groove that are usable for a tool
identification chip and tool balancing.
Additional new features are: Standard hardness of 50 to 54 HRC. This
allows for long-term use and a durable tool that withstands the forces
generated during high-speed tool changes. Optimal toughness from the
taper end to the insert pocket seat. This ensures maximum protection
against wear at all contact points and the highest stability under high
cutting loads. The KM63UT tools have a silver satin finished surface that
provides for a durable and long-lasting appearance.

KM63XMZ

Mark IV Series of Integrex ® Machines. The Mazak Integrex ® is the
marriage of a high-powered turning center and a full-function machining
