FI SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS 4-65Step 21) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.2) Disconnect the STVA lead wire coupler.3) Check the continuity between each terminal and ground.2 STVA continuity: ∞ Ω (Infinity)(Terminal – Ground)4) If OK, then measure the STVA resistance (between terminalA and terminal B) and (between terminal C and terminalD).2 STVA resistance: Approx. 7.0 Ω(Terminal A – Terminal B)(Terminal C – Terminal D) 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester set Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω)Is the resistance OK?2YESNO• W/B, P/W, G and B/Lg wire open or shorted toground, or poor 1, 2, H and I connection• If wire and connection are OK, intermittent troubleor faulty ECM.• Recheck each terminal and wire harness foropen circuit and poor connection.• Replace the ECM with a known good one, andinspect it again.• Loose or poor contacts on the ECM coupler.• Replace the STVA with a new one.ECM couplers (Harness side)5) After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool.(4-26)
