9-22 ELECTRICAL SYSTEMOperationWhen the ignition switch is turned ON with the engine stop switch in ON, the immobi-antenna and ECM arepowered ON.The ECM transmits a signal to the transponder through the immobi-antenna in order to make comparisonbetween the key ID and ECM ID.With the signal received, the transponder transmits the key ID signal to ECM so that ECM can make comparisonwith its own ID, and if it matches, the engine is made ready to start.ECM1 Immobi-antenna 3 Transponder 4 Ignition switchAlso, when the ignition switch is turned ON, the indicator lightflashes as many as the number of IDs registered in ECM. In this case, the indicator light operationstarts immediately after the starter operation.NOTE:In the case that the LED flashes fast, remains lit or unlit, the probable cause of such a failure may be due toabnormal condition in the key, key cylinder, wiring harness or ECM. (If such a failure exists, contact your distributoror dealer.)
