FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY 5-13AIR CLEANER BOX REMOVAL• Lift and support the fuel tank. (5-3)• Remove the air cleaner box mounting bolt 1.• Remove the IAP sensor 2 from the air cleaner box.• Loosen the throttle body clamp screws 3 (4 pcs) and lift upthe air cleaner box.• Disconnect the IAT sensor lead wire coupler 4.• Disconnect the PCV hose 5 and PAIR hose 6.• Remove the air cleaner box.THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL• Remove the air cleaner box. (above)• Disconnect the throttle cables from their drum.After disconnecting the throttle cables, do not snapthe throttle valve from full open to full close. It maycause damage to the throttle valve and throttle body.• Place a rag under the fuel feed hose and disconnect the fuelfeed hose from the fuel tank.
5-14 FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY• Remove the clamps 1.• Remove the fuel injector lead wire couplers 2.• Loosen the throttle body clamp screws at the intake pipe side.• Lift up the throttle body assembly• Disconnect the STVA lead wire coupler 3, STP sensor leadwire coupler 4 and TP sensor lead wire coupler 5.• Remove the throttle body assembly.THROTTLE BODY DISASSEMBLY• Disconnect the respective vacuum hoses 1 from each throttlebody.• Remove the fuel feed hose 2.• Remove the fuel delivery pipe assembly 3 by removing thescrews.Be careful not to twist the fuel delivery pipe’s T-jointA, when disconnecting the fuel feed hose or removingthe fuel delivery pipes, or joint part B of the fuel deliverypipe get damage.
