3-28 ENGINEINSPECTION• Inspect the reed valve for the carbon deposit.• If the carbon deposit is found in the reed valve, replace thePAIR reed valve with a new one.INSTALLATION• Set new gasket to the PAIR reed valve as shown.PCV HOSE• Remove the PCV hose from the crankcase breather cover.• Inspect the PCV hose for wear or damage.• If it is worn or damaged, replace the PCV hose with a newone.CAMSHAFTCAMSHAFT IDENTIFICATIONThe exhaust camshaft can be distinguished from that of theintake by the embossed letters “EX” (for exhaust) as against letters“IN” (for intake).CAM WEAR• Check the camshaft for wear or damage.• Measure the cam height H with a micrometer. Cam height H:Service Limit: (IN.) : 35.48 mm(EX.) : 34.68 mm 09900-20202: Micrometer (25 – 50 mm)
