ENGINE 3-3ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONENGINE REMOVALBefore taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engineusing a steam cleaner. Engine removal is sequentially explainedin the following steps. Reinstall the engine by reversing theremoval procedure.• Remove the under covers. (8-5)• Lift and support the fuel tank. (5-3)• Drain engine oil. (2-13)• Drain engine coolant. (2-17)• Disconnect the battery - lead wire 1.• Remove the air cleaner box 2. (5-13)• Remove the throttle body assembly 3. (5-13)
