8-24 CHASSISREASSEMBLYReassemble the steering stem in the reverse order of disassembly.Pay attention to the following points:OUTER RACE• Press in the upper and lower bearing outer races with thespecial tools. 09941-34513: Steering outer race installer set09913-70210: Bearing installer set (55)INNER RACE• Press in the lower bearing inner race with the special tool. 09925-18011: Steering bearing installerINSTALLATIONInstall the steering stem in the reverse order of removal. Payattention to the following points:BEARING• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A” to the bearings andbearing races. 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”(or equivalent grease)• Install the lower bearing to the steering stem lower bracket.• Install the upper bearing and bearing inner race.STEM NUT• Install the dust seal and dust seal cover.• Tighten the steering stem nut to the specified torque with thespecial tools. 09940-14911: Steering stem nut wrench09940-14960: Steering stem nut wrench socket Steering stem nut: 45 N·m (4.5 kgf-m)
