8-20 CHASSISFRONT FORK CAP BOLT• Apply fork oil lightly to the O-ring.Use a new O-ring to prevent oil leakage. 99000-99044-10G: SUZUKI FORK OIL 10G• Tighten the front fork cap bolt temporarily.REMOUNTING• Set the top end of inner tube to the upper surface of steeringstem upper bracket at point A.• Tighten the front fork lower clamp bolts 1. Front fork lower clamp bolt 1: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m)• Tighten the front fork cap bolt 2 and front fork upper clampbolt 3. Front fork cap bolt 2: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m)Front fork upper clamp bolt 3: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m)• Install the front fender.• Install the front wheel. (8-10)After install the brake calipers, front brake should beefficient by pumping the front brake lever.SUSPENSION SETTINGAfter installing the front fork, adjust the spring per-load as follows.SPRING PRE-LOAD ADJUSTMENTThere are seven grooved lines on the side of the spring adjuster.Position 0 provides the maximum spring pre-load and position 7provides the minimum spring pre-load.STD POSITION: 5Be sure to adjust the spring pre-load on both frontfork legs equally.1 01 203 45
