CHASSIS 8-57• Remove the dust seals 4 and piston seals 5.Avoid reusing the dust seals and piston seals to preventfluid leakage.CALIPER INSPECTIONBRAKE CALIPER• Inspect the brake caliper cylinder wall for nicks, scratches orother damage.BRAKE CALIPER PISTON• Inspect the brake caliper piston surface for any scratches orother damage.CALIPER REASSEMBLYReassemble the caliper in the reverse order of disassembly. Payattention to the following points:• Clean the caliper bores and pistons with specified brake fluid,especially the dust seal grooves and piston seal grooves. Specification and classification: DOT 4* Clean the caliper components with fresh brake fluidbefore reassembly. Never use cleaning solvent orgasoline to clean them.* Do not wipe the brake fluid off after cleaning thecomponents.* When cleaning the components, use the specifiedbrake fluid. Never use different types of fluid orcleaning solvent such as gasoline, kerosine or others.* Replace the piston seals and dust seals with the newones when reassembly. Apply the brake fluid to bothseals when installing them.
