At the Journalism and Media StudiesCentre (JMSC), we believe that the best preparation for careers in journalism is a strong liberal artseducation coupled with hands-on journalism training, including practical internship at newsorganizations. Students interested in a career in journalism would benefit from journalism courses butthey should major in subjects in the arts, social sciences and the sciences.
