II/III.1 Analysis of Western art music II (6 credits)This course is a continuation of Analysis of Western Art Music I. It covers the theory and practice ofWestern art music from selected style periods. Emphasis is placed on typical harmonic and formalprocedures. Primary activities include in-depth analyses of selected works, drills on various harmonicsyntaxes, and short exercises in historical styles. Some computer-assisted self-study may be required.Assessment will be based on coursework (100%).
