G. This is to a great extent an argument ad hominem. We<br />

must remember Wyclif's position as a Realist, admitting that<br />

universals exist a parte rei, in the same way as they do in our<br />

minds. When we say, A dog is an animal; and, A cat is an<br />

animal, animality is absolutely the same in dog as in cat. It<br />

would follow that the dog and the cat are i<strong>de</strong>ntical a parte rei.<br />
