The nearest approach to this quotation that I have been able<br />
to find is the following passage: "Credit . . . Ecclesia . . . sub<br />
ilia parva hostia contineri et esse veraciter totum corpus Christi<br />
ita magnum et ita perfect um sicut fuit in cruce" (Opusc. LII,<br />
De Sacramento Eucharistie, c. III). We must always bear in<br />
mind that St. Thomas, with the whole School, <strong>de</strong>nies that quantity<br />
gives actual extension, but only tends towards doing so.<br />
Thus, by a miracle, Christ is without dimensions in the Host,<br />
