Eldritch<br />

Feats: Eldritch gain Alertness, Combat Casting, Improved<br />

Combat<br />

Eldritch prefer to take their prey unawares and defenseless,<br />

using subterfuge and magic to achieve both of these goals.<br />

Ability Score Loss (Su): An eldritch may<br />

elect to use this ability after making a successful<br />

touch attack. The victim must make<br />

a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 eldritch’s<br />

HD + Charisma modifier) or suffer<br />

1d4+1 points of temporary damage to<br />

one ability score of the eldritch’s choice.<br />

Create Sythyss (Su): An eldritch<br />

may only create and control a<br />

number of spawn equal to<br />

its Charisma modifier. If<br />

an eldritch slays an elf by<br />

draining its Constitution,<br />

it may choose to raise the<br />

creature as a sythyss. The<br />

newly raised sythyss is<br />

under the command of<br />

the eldritch that created<br />

it and remains enslaved<br />

until its master dies, at<br />

which time the sythyss<br />

crumbles to dust.<br />

Darkvision (Ex):<br />

This ability replaces the<br />

character’s low-light<br />

vision and has a range of 120 feet.<br />

Immunities (Ex): Eldritch are immune to cold, electricity,<br />

and polymorph.<br />

Spell-like Abilities (Sp): An eldritch gains the following<br />

spell-like abilities. At will—charm animal (DC 14), charm person<br />

(DC 14), chill touch (DC 14), disguise self, dispel magic, expeditious<br />

Word of Despair<br />

(Su): This ability can be<br />

used once per day <strong>for</strong><br />

each level of cleric or<br />

paladin the eldritch has<br />

and is considered to be<br />

a free action (but only once per round). With a single word the<br />

eldritch can cause overwhelming despair in an opponent, who<br />

must succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 eldritch’s HD +<br />

Charisma modifier) or be paralyzed with fear <strong>for</strong> 1d4 rounds.<br />

Sythyss<br />
