GENESIS
Prov. 1:10, 4:14, 9:6; 2 Cor. 6:14-17; Eph. 1:11; 2 Thess.
3 : 16). 2. By assuming the posture of piety (piosity, religiosity)
, while conforming more and more to the ways
of the world (ecthe lust of the flesh and the lust of the
eyes and the vainglory of life,” 1 John 2:1f-17; cf. Rom.
12:2). 3. By neglecting the appointments of the Spiritual
Life (Acts 2:42; 1 Cor. 16:l-2; Rom. 6, 11:23-30; Heb.
, Lot himself would have perished in Sodom had not
God Come to his rescue. Likewise, all sinners will eventually
perish in hell, unless they heed God’s call to repentance
. (Luke . 13:3, Matt. 25:46, Rev. 6:16-17).
