REMOVAL<br />

1. Raise car on hoist.<br />

2. Remove rear tyre and wheel assembly.<br />

Rear Suspension<br />

3. Remove screws securing the trailing arm shield<br />

to chassis frame and remove shields.<br />

4. Remove six (6) bolts securing the inner<br />

driveshaft to out driveshaft.<br />

5. Loosen hub nut (righthand thread, both sides).<br />

6. Disconnect brake hose to rear brake line.<br />

Clamp hose and line ends.<br />

7. Unciip metal brake line from trailing arm<br />

8. Disconnect park brake cable from park brake<br />

caliper lever arm by removing the split pin and<br />

clevis.<br />

9. Remove two (2) bolts securing brake caliper<br />

assembly to hub carrier. Remove caliper<br />

assembly. Fig. 5<br />

10. Remove hub nut and pull off brake disc and<br />

hub assembly.<br />

HUB CARRIER<br />

11. Remove two (2) nuts and bolts, securing<br />

trailing arm to hub carrier and disconnect<br />

trailing arm from hub carrier. Fig. 6<br />

12. Support the trailing arm to avoid straining the<br />

brake hose or pivot bushing.<br />

13. Remove nuts from both upper and lower hub<br />

carrier pivot bolts. Remove bolt securing park<br />

brake cable to hub carrier.<br />

14. Support the hub carrier with a jack stand while<br />

removing the upper and lower pivot bolt.<br />

15. Remove hub carrier from car.<br />

INSTALLATION<br />

1.To install hub carrier, reverse the removal<br />

procedures and torque fasteners to<br />

specifications.<br />

Notice:<br />

Fastener must be torqued with car resting on<br />

its suspension.<br />

2. Bleed brake system.<br />

3. Check rear suspension for specified toe-in<br />

alignment and adjust if necessary.<br />

4. Adjust park brake cables.
