2. Mark the relative position of rear housing (20),<br />

stator (21) and front housing (22).<br />

3. Place an old fan belt around the pulley (25) and<br />

clamp the belt in vice jaws with the pulley (25)<br />

as close to the vice as possible. The friction<br />

and self wrapping action of the belt will provide<br />

adequate reaction to loosening the pulley nut<br />

(23).<br />

4. Remove the assembly from the vice. Remove<br />

the nut (23), washer (24), pulley (25), fan (26),<br />

washer (27), key (28) and spacer bush (29).<br />

5. Remove four through bolts (17), washers (18),<br />

attachment bracket (19), nut (31), washer (32),<br />

recessed in front housing (22).<br />

6. Withdraw front housing (22).<br />

7. Remove stator (21).<br />

1. Remove regulator (10), brush carrier (11) and<br />

regulator feed plate (12).<br />

2. Mark the relative position of rear housing (20),<br />

stator (21) and front housing (22).<br />

3. Place an old fan belt around the pulley (25) and<br />

clamp the belt in vice jaws with the pulley (25)<br />

as close to the vice as possible. The friction<br />

and self wrapping action of the belt will provide<br />
