N:08:18 Heating and Air Conditioning<br />

11. Re-fit luggage compartment access covers.<br />

12. Re-fit both air deflector plates to rear<br />

underside, by clipping onto frame, and<br />

screwing to body.<br />

13. Re-fit radiator air duct, and secure to body,<br />

spoiler and intake grille with screws.<br />

14. Re-charge air conditioning system (refer to<br />

N :07:01).<br />

REMOVING CONDENSER/EVAPORATOR<br />

HOSE<br />

WARNING: Observe safety precautions<br />

regarding handling of Freon Gas Refrigerant while<br />

undertaking this procedure.<br />

1. De-pressurize air conditioning system (refer to<br />

. N:07:01).<br />

2. Release the condenser lower hose joint using<br />

two wrenches of the correct size to avoid<br />

twisting the condenser outlet tube. Cap ends<br />

immediately.<br />

3. Release condenser hose from evaporator,<br />

using two wrenches and cap ends<br />

immediately.<br />

4. Release all hose ties and remove hose from car.<br />

INSTALLING CONDENSER/EVAPORATOR<br />

HOSE<br />

1. Feed hose across front of chassis frame as<br />

removed.<br />

2. Ensuring scrupulous cleanliness of<br />

accumulator and hose joint coat new joint '0'<br />

ring and connector threads with refrigeration<br />

oil - NOT ANY OTHER LUBRICANT<br />

3. Ensuring scrupulous cleanliness of condenser<br />

and hose joint, coat new joint '0' ring and<br />

connector threads with refrigeration oil — NOT<br />

ANY OTHER LUBRICANT.<br />

Re-charge air conditioning system (refer to<br />

N:07:01).<br />

REMOVING VACUUM ACTUATOR<br />

Note:<br />

The screen flap actuator may be replaced with the<br />

heater air conditioning unit in position in the<br />

vehicle.<br />

1. Remove heater/air conditioning unit from the<br />

vehicle.<br />

2. Remove the hexagon screw connecting the<br />

flap link rod to the actuator.<br />
