r ^•F Continue INSTALL THERMOMETER in A/C outlet and check performance. 1. Set temperature lever to max. cold. 2. Set selector lever to max. A.C. 3. Fan switch on HI. 4. Close all doors and windows. 5. Run engine at specified rpm. 6. Use auxiliary fan in front of grill at HI ambient. Check temperature against chart. 1 OUTLET TEMPERATURE O.K. J OR TOO COLD AS PER CHART Change blower speed to low, observe accumulator and evaporator pipes for frost. ¥ NO FROST Heating and Air Conditioning N .09:03 OUTLET I TEMP. HIGH AS PER CHART FROST • { Check accumulator pressure (as per chart). T NORMAL TO HIGH Check compressor cycling. N:09:04 Heating and Air Conditioning Continue OFF ALL TIMES Check compressor hot lead wire with test light or place jumper wire from compressor to positive ( +) terminal of battery. T ENGAGED I Check for blown main fuse. T FUSE O.K. I Check the following for open circuits: Low pressure switch High pressure switch T O.K. _L Check low charge pressure switch for open circuit. T OPEN I Check refrigerant pressure at high side service fitting. T ABOVE 1 50 PSIG Jump pressure switch, and compressor runs. Defective switch. Leak check system and replace switch. Evacuate and re-charge. NOT ENGAGED FUSE BLOWN OPEN CLOSED, OR O.K. BELOW 50PSIG AT60°F Replace defective part. Low charge. Leak test and repair. Evacuate and re-charge. Apply external ground to compressor. If clutch is still not engaged, remove clutch and repair. Look for broken wire or loose connection in clutch circuit. Repair as necessary — Wiring Diagram.
