REMOVAL<br />

1. Remove brake disc pads as previously<br />

described.<br />

2. Disconnect hydraulic brake line at rear caliper<br />

and cap.<br />

3. Disconnect park brake cable from park brake<br />

caliper lever arm by removing backing off<br />

locknut. (Fig. 7)<br />

4. Remove two (2) bolts securing brake caliper<br />

assembly to hub carrier and remove caliper<br />

assembly. (Fig. 8)<br />

INSTALLATION<br />

1. To complete installation, reverse the removal<br />

procedure.<br />

2. Torque fasteners to specification and bleed<br />

brake system.<br />

REAR BRAKE CALIPER<br />

UNIT DISASSEMBLY<br />

1. Remove brake caliper assembly as previously<br />

described.<br />

2. Remove caliper piston dust covers retaining<br />

ring and remove piston dust covers.<br />

3. Pack a clean piece of shop towel between the<br />

pistons and then drive them from cylinder<br />

bores by applying clean compressed shop air<br />

to brake line inlet connection.<br />

CAUTION: Care should be exercised that<br />

fingers are kept well clear from the caliper gap<br />

area and eye protection should also be worn as<br />

there may be some fluid spray.<br />

4. Remove piston sealing ring from caliper pore.<br />

NOTE: Care should be exercised not to<br />

damage the bore or locating groove.<br />

5. Remove dust cap and uncrew bleed screw.
