REMOVAL<br />

Rear Suspension<br />

1. Raise car on hoist and remove tyre and wheel<br />

assembly.<br />

2. Remove screws securing the trailing arm shield<br />

to chassis frame and remove shield.<br />

3. Disconnect brake hose to rear brake line. Cap<br />

hose and line.<br />

4. Unclip brake line from trailing arm.<br />

5. Disconnect hand brake cable from hand brake<br />

caliper lever arm by removing the split pin and<br />

clevis.<br />

6. Remove two (2) bolts securing brake caliper<br />

assembly to hub carrier. Remove caliper<br />

assembly. Fig. 7<br />

7. Remove brake disc.<br />

8. Remove two (2) nuts and bolts, securing<br />

trailing arm to hub carrier and disconnect<br />

trailing arm from hub carrier.<br />

9. Remove trailing arm pivot bolt and nut.<br />

j Remove trailing arm from car. Inspect trailing<br />

arm bushing for damage and replace if<br />

necessary. Fig. 8<br />

INSTALLATION<br />

1. To complete installation reverse the removal<br />

procedure, torque fasteners to specification.<br />

Notice:<br />

Fasteners must be torqued with car resting on<br />

its suspension.<br />

2. Bleed brake system.<br />

3. Check car suspension for specified toe-in<br />

alignment and adjust if necessary.<br />

4. Adjust hand brake cable(s) if necessary.
