Reverse the removal procedure ensuring that the<br />

vacuum pipe connections are as shown.<br />

REMOVING AIR CONDITIONING<br />

COMPRESSOR HOSES<br />

1. De-pressurize air conditioning system (see<br />

refrigerant handling precautions — Section<br />

N:07:01).<br />

2. In order to release the hoses the body must be<br />

raised from the frame slightly to provide<br />

clearance. Raise car on lift.<br />

3. Remove all screws securing the radiator air<br />

duct to the body, spoiler and intake grille, and<br />

withdraw the duct.<br />

4. Remove both air deflector plates from<br />

underside, between frame and body, on each<br />

side of engine bay by releasing their screws<br />

and clips.<br />

5. From inside the luggage compartment, remove<br />

the brake master cylinder access cover and fuel<br />

filler neck cover.<br />

6. Remove the steering column upper universal<br />

joint pinch bolt. Slacken lower universal joint<br />

to column pinch bolt, and slide lower column<br />

into lower universal joint, and off upper steering<br />

column (refer to Steering Section).<br />

7. Remove two nuts securing brake master<br />

cylinder to servo and separate. Support the<br />

master cylinder clear of the servo but do not<br />

strain Brake Pipes. Seal open ends of both<br />

components to prevent dirt ingress.<br />

8. Remove body mounting bolt each side of<br />

engine bay above rear spring abutment.<br />

9. Remove four screws securing charcoal canister<br />

panel to LH rear pontoon. Withdraw panel and<br />

canister, and lay aside.<br />

10. Release cold air intake trunking from air<br />

temperature flap unit and push trunking into<br />

RH rear pontoon.<br />

11. Through the aperture thus exposed, release<br />

the rear body mounting bolt insidgeach rear<br />

pontoon. "?^i<br />

12. From the car interior, remove the,.jwb body<br />

mounting bolts and one seat >eT| i^buriting<br />

bolt on each side of the centr0@tfi$(\<br />
