POWER WINDOW REGULATOR<br />

ASSEMBLY<br />

Removal<br />

1. Remove upper and lower interior door trim.<br />

2. Partially lower power window to allow access<br />

to nuts securing window regulator arm to<br />

window carrier. Remove nuts.<br />

3. Remove one nut securing lower portion of<br />

regulator arm to door handle mounting<br />

bracket.<br />

4. Remove three screws securing regulator motor<br />

mounting bracket to inner door.<br />

5. Position regulator motor to allow access to<br />

mounting bracket retaining screws. Remove<br />

screws and mounting bracket.<br />

6. Disengage regulator arm retaining studs from<br />

window carrier and remove regulator assembly<br />

from inner door.<br />

Installation<br />

1. Position regulator assembly into inner door.<br />

Loosely install upper regulator arm to window<br />

carrier retaining nuts.<br />

2. Loosely install lower regulator arm to pull<br />

handle mounting bracket retaining nut.<br />

3. Position and secure regulator motor to<br />

mounting bracket.<br />

4. Position and secure regulator assembly to inner<br />

door.<br />

5. Tighten regulator arm retaining nuts.<br />

6. Connect electrical connectors to motor and<br />

check window operation.<br />

7. Position and secure upper and lower interior<br />

door trim.<br />

POWER WINDOW ASSEMBLY - Fig. 13<br />

1. Remove upper and lower interior door trim<br />

panels.<br />

2. Partially lower power window to allow access<br />

to two nuts securing window regulator arm to<br />

window carrier. Remove nuts.<br />

3. Disengage window carrier from window<br />

regulator arm. Pull the window assembly off<br />

the front and rear guide channels and remove.<br />

Installation<br />

1. Reverse removal procedure.<br />

WINDSHIELD (REPLACEMENT)<br />

Removal<br />

1. Cover the car's interior, fenders and luggage<br />

compartment with dust covers.<br />

2. Partially remove inner and outer door seals<br />

around both sides and header panel.<br />

3. Remove both "A" post finisher panels.<br />

4. Remove windshield header panel and retainer.<br />

5. Remove both windshield wiper assemblies.<br />

6. Remove cowl screen.<br />

7. Remove interior rear view mirror.<br />

8. Drill a small hole through the polyurethane<br />

adhesive bead at the "A" post. Feed piano<br />

wire through the hole. Attach lever tool<br />

handles to each end of the wire.<br />

CAUTION: Both operators should wear protective<br />

gloves and goggles.<br />

9. With the aid of an assistant, cut completely<br />

around windshield polyurethane adhesive<br />

bead. Remove windshield.<br />

10. Remove all polyurethane adhesive from body<br />

flange with a razor blade knife.<br />

Installation<br />

1. With the aid of an assistant, position<br />

replacement windshield to the fitted position of<br />

the windshield opening. Mark the position of<br />

the support clips on the lower edge of<br />

windshield to aid alignment during installation.
