Calibrating the Cells<br />

SE 600, SE 602 and SE 603 Cells<br />

The cell constant of the SE 600, SE 602 and SE<br />

603 cells depends on installation dimensions. If<br />

the distances between cell and container are less<br />

than those specified, (see page 14–7 and the following),<br />

the cell must be calibrated when already<br />

installed since the cell constant is changed by<br />

installation.<br />

Select calibration sequence ”Sampling”.<br />

With free installation of the cell (minimum distances<br />

exceeded), you can directly enter the specified<br />

cell constant. For high accuracy you should<br />

note, however:<br />

Since the cell constant can vary due to the<br />

manufacturing process, you should calibrate the<br />

dismounted cell using a calibration solution (e.g.<br />

NaCl saturated).<br />

SE 604 Cell<br />

The SE 604 cell must be calibrated by direct entry<br />

of the cell constant since calibration solutions in<br />

the S/cm range are not stable.<br />

ZU 0071 Cell<br />

The ZU 0071 cell can be calibrated either automatically<br />

or manually. A suitable calibration solution<br />

would be 0.01 mol/l NaCl solution.<br />
