5.14 PARTICIPANT C9<br />

Participant C9’s personal pr<strong>of</strong>ile is presented <strong>in</strong> Table 5.26. She presented with<br />

severe upper and lower limb hemiparesis (dom<strong>in</strong>ant hemisphere) and used a<br />

wheelchair and stair lift to mobilise. She lived alone with social services help for<br />

activities <strong>of</strong> daily liv<strong>in</strong>g. C9 had a history <strong>of</strong> severe depression and received<br />

electro-current therapy treatment follow<strong>in</strong>g her stroke.<br />
