5.16 PARTICIPANT C11<br />

Participant C11’s personal pr<strong>of</strong>ile is displayed <strong>in</strong> Table 5.30. She lived with her<br />

husband and five children. She presented with moderate residual hemiparesis<br />

(dom<strong>in</strong>ant hemisphere). S<strong>in</strong>ce her stroke C11 had been reluctant to leave her<br />

home and had just begun to attend a stroke group at the time <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>in</strong>vestigation.<br />
