As Amended Through 15 March 2012establishing directive — An order issued to specify the purpose of the support relationship.(JP 3-02)estimate — 1. An analysis of a foreign situation, development, or trend that identifies itsmajor elements, interprets the significance, and appraises the future possibilities and theprospective results of the various actions that might be taken. 2. An appraisal of thecapabilities, vulnerabilities, and potential courses of action of a foreign nation orcombination of nations in consequence of a specific national plan, policy, decision, orcontemplated course of action. 3. An analysis of an actual or contemplated clandestineoperation in relation to the situation in which it is or would be conducted in order toidentify and appraise such factors as available as well as needed assets and potentialobstacles, accomplishments, and consequences. See also intelligence estimate.(JP 2-01)estimative intelligence — Intelligence that identifies, describes, and forecasts adversarycapabilities and the implications for planning and executing military operations. Removal of a patient by any of a variety of transport means (air, ground,rail, or sea) from a theater of military operation, or between health service supportcapabilities, for the purpose of preventing further illness or injury, providing additionalcare, or providing disposition of patients from the military health care system. (JP 4-02) 2. The clearance of personnel, animals, or materiel from a given locality. (JP 3-68)3. The controlled process of collecting, classifying, and shipping unserviceable orabandoned materiel, US or foreign, to appropriate reclamation, maintenance, technicalintelligence, or disposal facilities. (JP 4-09) 4. The ordered or authorized departure ofnoncombatants from a specific area by Department of State, Department of Defense, orappropriate military commander. This refers to the movement from one area to anotherin the same or different countries. The evacuation is caused by unusual or emergencycircumstances and applies equally to command or non-command sponsored familymembers. See also evacuee; noncombatant evacuation operations.
