(<strong>JP</strong> 3-50)homing adaptor — A device which, when used with an aircraft radio receiver, producesaural <strong>and</strong>/or visual signals that indicate the direction <strong>of</strong> a transmitting radio station withrespect to the heading <strong>of</strong> the aircraft. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-50)homing guidance — A system by which a missile or torpedo steers itself towards a targetby means <strong>of</strong> a self-contained mechanism which is activated by some distinguishingcharacteristics <strong>of</strong> the target. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-01)honey pot — A trap set to detect, deflect, or in some manner counteract attempts atunauthorized use <strong>of</strong> information systems. Generally it consists <strong>of</strong> a computer, data, or anetwork site that appears to be part <strong>of</strong> a network, but is actually isolated, (un)protected,<strong>and</strong> monitored, <strong>and</strong> which seems to contain information or a resource <strong>of</strong> value toattackers. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-13.4)horizontal stowage — The lateral distribution <strong>of</strong> unit equipment or categories <strong>of</strong> suppliesso that they can be unloaded simultaneously from two or more holds. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-<strong>02</strong>.1)hospital — A medical treatment facility capable <strong>of</strong> providing inpatient care. It isappropriately staffed <strong>and</strong> equipped to provide diagnostic <strong>and</strong> therapeutic services, aswell as the necessary supporting services required to perform its assigned mission <strong>and</strong>functions.
