Itis an open-ended analytic process produced through the intelligence production processusing national <strong>and</strong> theater validated requirements as a foundation. Also called TSA.(<strong>JP</strong> 3-60)target system assessment — The broad assessment <strong>of</strong> the overall impact <strong>and</strong> effectiveness<strong>of</strong> the full spectrum <strong>of</strong> military force applied against the operation <strong>of</strong> an enemy targetsystem or total combat effectiveness (including significant subdivisions <strong>of</strong> the system)relative to the operational objectives established. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-<strong>02</strong>)tasking order — A method used to task <strong>and</strong> to disseminate to components, subordinateunits, <strong>and</strong> comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> control agencies projected targets <strong>and</strong> specific missions. Inaddition, the tasking order provides specific instructions concerning the missionplanning agent, targets, <strong>and</strong> other control agencies, as well as general instructions foraccomplishment <strong>of</strong> the mission.
