(<strong>JP</strong> 1)in support <strong>of</strong> — Assisting or protecting another formation, unit, or organization whileremaining under original control. (<strong>JP</strong> 1)insurgency — The organized use <strong>of</strong> subversion <strong>and</strong> violence by a group or movement thatseeks to overthrow or force change <strong>of</strong> a governing authority. Insurgency can also referto the group itself. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-24)integrated consumable item support — A decision support system that takes time-phasedforce <strong>and</strong> deployment data (i.e., Department <strong>of</strong> Defense deployment plans) <strong>and</strong>calculates the ability <strong>of</strong> the Defense Logistics Agency, the warehousing unit <strong>of</strong> theDepartment <strong>of</strong> Defense, to support those plans. Integrated consumable item supportcan calculate for the planned deployment supply/dem<strong>and</strong> curves for over two millionindividual items stocked by the Defense Logistics Agency in support <strong>of</strong> deployment.Also called ICIS. (<strong>JP</strong> 4-03)integrated financial operations — The integration, synchronization, prioritization, <strong>and</strong>targeting <strong>of</strong> fiscal resources <strong>and</strong> capabilities across United States departments <strong>and</strong>agencies, multinational partners, <strong>and</strong> nongovernmental organizations against anadversary <strong>and</strong> in support <strong>of</strong> the population. Also called IFO. (<strong>JP</strong> 1-06)integrated logistic support — A composite <strong>of</strong> all the support considerations necessary toassure the effective <strong>and</strong> economical support <strong>of</strong> a system for its life cycle. It is anintegral part <strong>of</strong> all other aspects <strong>of</strong> system acquisition <strong>and</strong> operation. Also called ILS.integrated materiel management — The exercise <strong>of</strong> total Department <strong>of</strong> Defense-levelmanagement responsibility for a federal supply group or class, commodity, or item fora single agency. It normally includes computation <strong>of</strong> requirements, funding, budgeting,storing, issuing, cataloging, st<strong>and</strong>ardizing, <strong>and</strong> procuring functions. (<strong>JP</strong> 4-07)integrated planning — In amphibious operations, the planning accomplished bycomm<strong>and</strong>ers <strong>and</strong> staffs <strong>of</strong> corresponding echelons from parallel chains <strong>of</strong> comm<strong>and</strong>within the amphibious task force. (<strong>JP</strong> 3-<strong>02</strong>)integrated priority list — A list <strong>of</strong> a combatant comm<strong>and</strong>er’s highest priorityrequirements, prioritized across Service <strong>and</strong> functional lines, defining shortfalls in keyprograms that, in the judgment <strong>of</strong> the combatant comm<strong>and</strong>er, adversely affect the<strong>JP</strong> 1-<strong>02</strong> 161
