In one of them he encounters three evil angels. They appear tohim in his dream. (How did they get there?). He talks with them. It is nosymbolic talk….Now think these things through for a minute. Since whenis Satan unable to make eye-contact with someone he is tricking? Andsince when should we identify evil angels by their ability to say our newname? And how do evil angels get into a God-inspired dream? . . . Thefact is that we should never never never talk to evil spirits. It is the mostdangerous thing we could do. They are incredibly skilled atovermastering our minds. That God would permit Ernie, in a dream, totalk to them; that God would model how to identify false angels in such away as to make it easy for Satan to take advantage, is unthinkable.”Fact1. Ernie did not willingly speak with evil spirits. He at first believed theywere angels of God. When he found out they were evil angels, heimmediately called out to God for help. This part of the “If You LoveMe” dream is to show how easily we can be tricked by Satan andhis angels and what we are to do when we are in trouble—immediately call out to God for help. “Submit yourselves therefore toGod. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).2. Mr. Prewitt fails to realize that Ernie, at first, unknowingly speakswith evil spirits in the dream. Secondly, he is not controlled by them,because it is a dream not a real-life situation. The lack of eyecontact and not knowing the new name was a way for us to identifythat the angels in the dream are evil. The lesson in this dream isthat we are to be aware how easily Satan and his angels can trickus. It was not a “model” on how to identify real evil angels. It issimply a way of teaching us that we must beware of them. As thelast days are upon us, the battle against them will be stronger.3.
