Because of this, they believed it was proof He was not theMessiah. We can see that Linda has done the same in not understandingErnie’s dreams.Counsel on musicLinda Kirk says: (see Appendix L)“A View of Heaven Dream: ‘The two of us walk and talk together forquite some time. One of the things we talked about was how beautiful themusic was that I heard in heaven. I mentioned that it was unlike anythingI had ever heard in our worship services on Earth. I asked Him if Heenjoys the music and worship services we have. He responded, “That isjust it. They are your worship services not mine. He said that some of themusic we have is inspired not by Himself, the Father or the Holy Spiritbut by a whole different spirit.’This paragraph brings up more questions than answers. Does Jesus notlike any of our music? If He does like some, what kind does He like?When the being says in the dream, ‘They are your worship services notmine,’ what is meant by that? Are all our worship services displeasing toHim? How do we know when we go into a church on Sabbath if theworship service is displeasing to Him? Should we even go to church ifthe worship services are not Jesus’? I find this leaves message leaves metotally confused. While we can know some music is not spiritual musicbecause it is based on worldly principles, this “message from Jesus” does[not] provide anything that can be helpful to us in knowing how toworship Jesus in a way that is pleasing to Him.”FactLinda failed to include in her letter the rest of the details from Ernie’s dreamregarding music and worship. If Linda had prayed for discernment, read thecontext of Ernie’s dream regarding music and compared it with the Bible andSpirit of Prophecy, she would have received the answers to her questions. Thefollowing quotations provide a good foundation on the subject of worship andmusic.God says:2 Chronicles 5:13It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, tomake one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; andwhen they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals andinstruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; forhis mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud,even the house of the LORD.
