However, Linda fails to quote the nextstatement from The Great Controversy, p. 624 as follows.God says:The Great Controversy, p. 624. . . and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to havechanged the Sabbath to Sunday, and commands all to hallow the daywhich he has blessed.FactErnie’s dreams advocate the seventh-day Sabbath, not Sunday. Linda fails tomention that those who reject the messages God sends through His prophetsare also deceived. Yes, there are many ways Satan can deceive God’s people.However, many are so afraid of Satan’s deceptions that they focus more on hispower than God’s power. In so doing, they reject the very messages God issending.God says:Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, pp. 744-745Brethren and sisters, it is by beholding that we become changed. Bydwelling upon the love of God and our Saviour, by contemplating theperfection of the divine character and claiming the righteousness of Christas ours by faith, we are to be transformed into the same image. Then letus not gather together all the unpleasant pictures--the iniquities andcorruptions and disappointments, the evidences of Satan's power--to hangin the halls of our memory, to talk over and mourn over until our soulsare filled with discouragement. A discouraged soul is a body of darkness,not only failing himself to receive the light of God but shutting it awayfrom others. They did not seek for transformation of character in theprobation given them, and Christ will not give them opportunity to passover the ground again.
