262the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTHFactLinda should have approached Ernie with her issue to get the facts straight.Ernie has explained that he did not mention his strength as a young man toimpress everyone but to compare how he was then to when he was very ill(before he was healed), which is what he was discussing with the group. Whendiscussing his job, home and cars, it was showing how God had given but thenGod took away, as in the example of Job. Regarding the “mansion” and“expensive cars,” they were not fancy compared to American standards, butthey seemed like it to Ernie because he grew up in a very poor family.God says:The Desire of Ages, p. 314Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Do not think yourself better thanother men, and set yourself up as their judge. Since you cannot discernmotive, you are incapable of judging another. In criticizing him, you arepassing sentence upon yourself; for you show that you are a participantwith Satan, the accuser of the brethren. The Lord says, "Examineyourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves." Brian and I found it very disconcerting that not one of the spiritualchurch leaders even suggested that we should have you come back to thechurch for an official presentation, even though they knew that was theoriginal intention. One of the elders was especially concerned, andcontacted Pastor Wohlberg, our former pastor, and you know the end ofthat story.”FactWhen Jesus was on earth, how many of the “spiritual leaders” accepted Jesus? In the same way, we are not surprised when regular Church members believein the dreams, while the “spiritual leaders” of the Church do not believe in thedreams that God gives Ernie. With the knowledge that Brian and Linda had ofthe apostasy in the church, they should not have found it disconcerting that notone of the leaders suggested giving Ernie an invitation to speak. Yes, Ernie isaware of the “end of the story” with Pastor Steve Wohlberg and is very
