266the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTHmany, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able" [Luke13:24]. "For wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth todestruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is thegate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be thatfind it" [Matt. 7:13, 14].Linda failed to mention that someone in the group asked Ernie whether heaccepts tithe. He does not solicit tithe, however, if someone asks whether heaccepts tithe, he answers that he does. If there are those that the Holy Spiritconvicts to send their tithe to Ernie, he cannot go against that conviction. Titheis to support those who minister in the Word. Because Ernie’s ministry ministersin the Word, he is entitled to a share of the tithe.God says:Spalding and Magan Collection, p. 117There are ministers' wives, Sisters Starr, Haskell, Wilson andRobinson, who have been devoted, earnest, whole-souled workers, givingBible readings and praying with families, helping along by personalefforts just as successfully as their husbands. These women give theirwhole time, and are told that they receive nothing for their labors becausetheir husbands receive their wages. I tell them to go forward and all suchdecisions shall be reversed. The Word says, "The laborer is worthy of hishire." When any such decision as this is made, I will in the name of theLord, protest. I will feel it in my duty to create a fund from my tithemoney, to pay these women who are accomplishing just as essential workas the ministers are doing, and this tithe I will reserve for work in thesame line as that of the ministers, hunting for souls, fishing for souls. Iknow that these faithful women should be paid wages proportionate tothe pay received by ministers.ConclusionBy God’s standards, conference pastors are not the only ones who shouldreceive tithe. Please refer to chapter 1 for more details on the tithe issue.SAU presentationLinda Kirk says: (see Appendix L)“Also, she had noticed on your web site that you stated that you hadmade a presentation at Southern University. Naturally, this would lendcredibility to claims to have spoken at an SDA college. You thenexplained to us how you had this appointment, made the travelarrangements, and arrived at Southern, only to be told upon arrival thatyour meeting had been cancelled. You told how you met with someofficials, and that this was a fulfillment of the dream Go Forth. You didtalk to a small group out on the lawn, but this certainly was not an officialmeeting at Southern University. The deaconess felt that posting themeetings on the web site was a dishonest way to lend credibility to yourdreams. [That posting has since been removed.]”FactErnie and Becky requested their webmaster to post the Southern AdventistUniversity (SAU) event as an announcement, not as a reason to lend credibility
