320the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTHon in these last days. The Lord is giving messages to His people, throughthe instruments He has chosen, and He would have all heed theadmonitions and warnings He sends. The message preceding the publicministry of Christ was, ‘Repent publicans and sinners; repent, Phariseesand Sadducees; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Our message is notto be one of peace and safety. As a people who believe in Christ's soonappearing, we have a definite message to bear,--‘Prepare to meet thyGod.’ ”What must we do to prepare? We must know what sin is. God’s wordtells us what sin is. If we do not know, we cannot repent. Withoutrepentance we can never have a genuine revival and reformation. Withoutrevival and reformation we cannot have the latter rain. We must know theforgiveness, cleansing, justification, and power from God for victory oversin through the early rain. We must win the battle over self and sin.Without that belief and experience, it will be impossible for God to pourout His latter-rain power upon us.Upward Look, p. 87“When you have determined what reforms need to be carried out, laborwith persevering, fearless courage to that end. The celebrating comes after Jesus takesus home. This is a time for repentance. He will save us from sin not in sin. If wecontinually seek God’s will, not our own, then we will continually have thevictory over sin. Remember that temptation is not a sin, but giving in totemptation is sin.If we fall, we must pick ourselves up and begin again, just as a child who islearning to walk. In this same way we learn to walk with Jesus.God is reaching out to His people. He is waiting for us to die to self and sin.Then and only then can God revive us to spiritual life. Are we beholding Satanand his kingdom or Christ and His kingdom? The choice is ours. By beholdingwe become changed.God longs for His character to be in each one of us.
