302the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTHAfter I came out of vision, everything looked changed; a gloom wasspread over all that I beheld. Oh, how dark this world looked to me. Iwept when I found myself here, and felt homesick. I had seen a betterworld, and it had spoiled this for me.ConclusionAfter receiving her visions, Ellen White had no desire to remain in this dark, dreary world. The music she heard in heaven was so beautiful that it madeearthly music sound harsh and discordant. Why should Ernie be criticized forpreferring the heavenly music he heard in his dreams, considering Ellen Whiteexpressed similar feelings after coming out of vision? Does Linda condemnEllen White for desiring to have wings to “fly away and be at rest”? Linda’sagenda to discredit Ernie’s dreams is guided by Satan, because he does notwant anyone to give up the wrong kind of music, especially in worship.Bible never supersededLinda Kirk says: (see Appendix L)“The Work Now Begins: ‘As for me not having a broad understandingof the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, the Herald says that I have a broaderunderstanding than I might know and that because I am not ordained ofman does not mean I am not ordained of God. The angel says that theGreat Teacher has many ways of teaching other than what one can read inwhat He has written.’ This last sentence directly contradicts the followingstatement: ‘The Bible will never be superseded by miraculousmanifestations. The truth must be studied, it must be searched for ashidden treasure. Wonderful illuminations will not be given aside from theWord or to take the place of it.’ 2SM 48 This clearly says that God willnot bypass His Word.”FactErnie has never said his dreams supersede the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy. The dreams continually lift up and quote the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy asthe source of truth and wisdom. How did God teach His prophets of old?Through revelation. That is right that God will not bypass His Word, just as Hedid not bypass His Word in the dreams He gave to Ernie. If one reads the nextpage from where Linda quotes (Selected Messages, Vol. 2, p. 49), the contextis connected with disregarding God’s law. Linda, please show us where Ernie’sdreams disregard God’s law?God says:The Acts of the Apostles, p. 302Paul was an inspired apostle. The truths he taught to others he hadreceived "by revelation;" yet the Lord did not directly reveal to him at alltimes just the condition of His people.S.D.A. Bible Commentary, Vol. 6, p. 1106Through Paul God has given many wonderful lessons for ourinstruction. In his visions Paul saw many things not lawful for a man toutter. But many other things which he saw in the heavenly courts werewoven into his teachings. The truth flashed from his lips as a sharp, twoedgedsword. The impressions made upon his mind by the Holy Spiritwere strong and vivid, and they were presented to the people in a way
