quality of existing regulations are as follows:<br />
• Stocktaking, Review and Monitoring Licensing<br />
Framework of 23 Ministries (Second Wave);<br />
• Review Regulatory Burden on Business of Five<br />
Sectors (Tourism, Whole & Retails, Health Care,<br />
Electrical and Electronics as well as Oil and Gas);<br />
• Review Quality of Regulation on Dealing with<br />
Construction Permits and Getting Electricity<br />
Improving Quality of New Regulations;<br />
• ImplementationNewRegulatoryQualitySystem<br />
(<strong>MPC</strong> to assess quality of new regulations); and<br />
• Pursue structural changes under Trans-Pacific<br />
Partnership (TPP) in promoting trade and<br />
investment.<br />
EXPEDITING ENTERPRISE INNOVATION<br />
In supporting the private sector towards<br />
innovation development, the Enterprise Innovation<br />
Department of <strong>MPC</strong> focuses on innovation<br />
programmes that will create and implement<br />
systems to address the entire value chain.<br />
The developed systems would assist the<br />
organisation to:<br />
• Diagnose the productivity and innovativeness;<br />
• Improve innovative processes along the<br />
innovation value chain; and<br />

• Monitor the success of intervention<br />
programmes in enhancing the innovation of<br />
companies.<br />
The target is to facilitate high impact productivity<br />
and innovation drives between 2010 and 2015 that<br />
would enable the nation to achieve an average<br />
productivity growth of 4.6%.<br />

Programme<br />
The objectives of EIIP are to support companies<br />
in improving productivity and competitiveness,<br />
develop their knowledge on productivity and<br />
competitiveness, create and implement systems<br />
to help companies improve their productivity<br />
and competitiveness and showcase role models.<br />
Companies are expected to increase productivity,<br />
reduce waste, improve system and innovation<br />
capability through EIIP.<br />
FAST-TRACKING TOWARDS BUSINESS<br />
EXCELLENCE<br />
<strong>MPC</strong> is currently promoting the Business Excellence<br />
Framework in all economic sectors. Business<br />
Excellence programme helps organisations to<br />
know the status of their journey towards excellence.<br />
This is done through an assessment of an<br />
organisation’s performance against the<br />
requirements of an internationally benchmarked<br />
Business Excellence Framework. Based on the<br />
outcome of the assessment; organisations<br />
scoring between 400 to 699 points will be invited<br />
to be a member of <strong>Malaysia</strong> <strong>Productivity</strong> and<br />
