marketing and ultimately, to the Nation.<br />

The Government will continue to assume a proactive role in creating an environment that<br />

serves the Nation’s drive for productivity. Some of the measures include the reduction<br />

in regulatory burden by modernising business regulation. The growth in productivity is<br />

critical to the success of the Economic Transformation Programme.<br />

This <strong>Productivity</strong> Report 2011/2012 will be useful to decision makers in the public and<br />

private sectors; including investors, academicians and the business community at large. I<br />

would strongly encourage the public and private sector to use this Report as a reference<br />

for strategic planning and policy formulation to ensure that productivity is continuously<br />

enhanced at company, industry and national levels.<br />
