added of the agro-food sector, complementing<br />

and strengthening the food supply chain and<br />

providing skilled labour for the sector are expected<br />

to further enhance the productivity of the sector.<br />

The commencement of the ETP, which is projected<br />

to provide a boost of 30% to 50% in volume of<br />

works over the next decade will result in a projected<br />

productivity growth of 5.6% for the construction<br />

sector in 2012. The ongoing construction of the<br />

Kuala Lumpur Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system<br />

as well as the River of Life (RoL) project which<br />

will commence site works in 2012, will boost the<br />

productivity of the sector.<br />

The implementation of the four key thrusts under<br />

ETP; sustaining oil and gas production, enhancing<br />

downstream growth, making <strong>Malaysia</strong> the number<br />

one Asian hub for oil field services and building<br />

a sustainable energy platform will provide the<br />

growth opportunities for the mining sector.<br />
