endurable that I have taken the liberty of cutting out

me. My health is by no means all I could desire. I

which had been sent to him :

you have given her a real satisfaction, for which
she cannot omit to thank you. Neither she nor I
have forgotten that you once had the project of
visiting our beautiful neighbourhood, and that you
wished to procure us the great pleasure of making
your personal acquaintance. Don't give up this
idea; and don't forget that we are old folk, and,
according to the laws of nature, cannot live long.
