JUpistodischer Gedanke is not in the form of a
letter. I will gladly let you have it. But, then, you
must have patience until September, for it is under
lock and key in St. Petersburg. It seems to me,
however, that you can make use of the letter which
you have copied out. I chance to have one with me
belonging to the Baroness Wrangel, and willingly let
you see it. I expect, however, that you will let me
have it back at once, as the baroness has asked for
it. It breathes all the Liszt large-heartedness. I can
give you one other letter (but not until September)
which refers to my offer of hospitality to him in St.
Petersburg (we unfortunately did not have this
experience). Fraulein Eamann is in possession of
the letter I sent to you. Fraulein Eamann did not
ask for this letter, but for the one referring to the
Epistodischer Gedanke. This, however, as I have
above said, does not exist in the form of a letter.
Stni, just as it is, you may willingly have it. I think
