Theseopinions were written by two German travelers who lived at the turn of 18 th and 19 th centuries.Both views are concerned with the spirit of the epochs and they are based on the Enlightenmentand the Romanticism ideas. The opinions are focused on showing the people from the regionof Upper Silesia. Both of them are the kind of defense the people who were perceived as benightedand people who presented low level of civilization by Germans. The opinions show honestyand diligence Upper Silesians, as well.
