Saving the configuration file<br />

Section I Detailed functions of <strong>ExpressCluster</strong><br />

Using the menu bar of the Builder<br />

Click Save to save the cluster configuration data you are editing. This menu becomes available if<br />

you have created a cluster configuration data. Save the file as “clp.conf.”<br />

To save a cluster configuration data, the following conditions should be satisfied.<br />

� The server exists.<br />

� Kernel-mode LAN heartbeat resource exists.<br />

How to use:<br />

1. Select Save from the File menu.<br />

2. The Save dialog is displayed. Select an appropriate place to save the configuration file and<br />

click Save.<br />

For File Name, select or type “clp.conf.”<br />

Note:<br />

When using Builder on the server on which <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> is operated, do not edit<br />

etc\clp.conf in the <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> installation path. Otherwise, messages<br />

regarding how to reflect the changes are not properly displayed, and/or <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> may not<br />

work properly. Save the file on a different directory temporarily.<br />

When uploading is per<strong>for</strong>med by using the clpcfctrl command, specify the directory where the<br />

file is saved by using the -x option.<br />
