Routing<br />

You do not need to make settings <strong>for</strong> the routing table.<br />

Conditions to use<br />

Floating IP addresses are accessible to the following machines:<br />

� Cluster server itself<br />

� Other servers in the same cluster and the servers in other clusters<br />

� Clients on the same LAN as the cluster server and clients on remote LANs<br />

If the following conditions are satisfied, machines other than the above can also access floating<br />

IP addresses. However, connection is not guaranteed <strong>for</strong> all models or architectures of machines.<br />

Test the connection thoroughly by yourself be<strong>for</strong>e using those machines.<br />

� TCP/IP is used <strong>for</strong> the communication protocol.<br />

� ARP protocol is supported.<br />

Even over LANs configured with switching hubs, floating IP address mechanism works properly.<br />

When a server goes down, the TCP/IP connection the server is accessing will be disconnected.<br />
