Displaying the messages on <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> clients<br />

(armbcast command)<br />

armbcast.exe: the armbcast.exe command displays the messages on <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> clients.<br />

Command line:<br />

Format 1 armbcast.exe /ID n /S group_name<br />

Format 2 armbcast.exe /MSG msg_strings [/A | /S group_name]<br />

Description This command displays the default or optional messages on monitors of<br />

clients.<br />

Parameter<br />

Return Value<br />

/ID n Displays a message that corresponds to the ID<br />

specified in n. You need to register this message<br />

in advance.<br />

This parameter cannot be specified with /MSG.<br />

/MSG msg_strings Displays a character string msg_strings on<br />

clients. The maximum size of a string is 127<br />

bytes.<br />

When the character string includes spaces,<br />

enclose it in double quotation marks. When you<br />

use double quotation marks in the string,<br />

describe them as \”.<br />

This parameter cannot be specified with /ID.<br />

/A Displays a message on all clients.<br />

/S group_name Displays a message on all clients that use the<br />

group specified in group_name.<br />

When using a Format 1, you cannot omit this<br />

parameter.<br />

When using a Format 2, you cannot specify this<br />

parameter with /A. You can omit /A and /S.<br />

When omitted, /A is assumed to be specified.<br />

0 Success<br />

7 The <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> Server service has not been started.<br />

9 The parameter is invalid.<br />

Notes This command cannot be used when recovering servers to a cluster (when<br />

the environment variable of start script “CLP_EVENT” is “RECOVER”).<br />

Remarks This command can be used only in scripts.<br />
