CPU frequency control command<br />

clpcpufreq<br />

Command line:<br />

clpcpufreq --high [-h hostname]<br />

clpcpufreq --low [-h hostname]<br />

clpcpufreq -i [-h hostname]<br />

clpcpufreq -s [-h hostname]<br />

Description<br />

The clpcpufreq command controls CPU frequency.<br />

This command enables/disables power-saving mode by CPU frequency<br />

control.<br />

Option --high Sets CPU frequency to the highest.<br />

--low Sets CPU frequency to the lowest.<br />

-i Switch to automatic control by cluster.<br />

-s Displays the current CPU frequency level.<br />

high: Frequency is the highest<br />

low: Frequency is lowered and it is in power-saving mode<br />

-h Requests the server specified in hostname <strong>for</strong> processing.<br />

If this is omitted, it requests the local server <strong>for</strong> processing.<br />

Value<br />

0 Completed successfully.<br />

Other than 0 Terminated due to a failure.<br />

Example # clpcpufreq -s<br />

high<br />

Command succeeded.(code:0)<br />

# clpcpufreq -- high<br />

Command succeeded.(code:0)<br />

# clpcpufreq --low -h server1<br />

Command succeeded.(code:0)<br />

Remark If the Use CPU frequency control checkbox is not selected in the power<br />

saving settings in cluster properties, this command results in error.<br />

Notes This command must be executed by a user with the administrator<br />

privilege.<br />

When you use CPU frequency control, it is required that frequency is<br />

changeable in the BIOS settings, and that the CPU supports frequency<br />
