Prohibiting an access to the mirror disk (mdclose<br />

command)<br />

mdclose.exe: the mdclose.exe command prohibits an access to the mirror disk.<br />

Command line:<br />

mdclose.exe mirrordisk_alias<br />

Description This command prohibits the access to the mirror disk that is permitted by<br />

the mdopen command.<br />

Do not run this command when there is no task accessing the specified<br />

mirror disk resource.<br />

Parameter mirrordisk_alias Specifies the name of a mirror disk resource to<br />

which you want to prohibit the access.<br />

Return Value<br />

0 Success<br />

1 The parameter is invalid.<br />

2 or Other error (possible causes are described below)<br />

• The Replicator/Replicator DR is not used.<br />

• There is a task accessing the target mirror disk resource.<br />

• Internal error<br />

Notes When accessing the mirror disk is permitted using the mdopen<br />

command, be sure to prohibit the access using this command be<strong>for</strong>e<br />

recovering the mirror.<br />

Remarks This command can be specified only outside scripts.<br />

This command is available only when the Replicator/Replicator DR is<br />

used.<br />

This command is <strong>for</strong> executing the snapshot backup by a batch<br />

processing. For details on the snapshot backup, see “Section III<br />

Maintenance” in this guide.<br />
