Understanding SMTP monitor resources<br />

POP3 monitor resources connect to the POP3 server and execute the command to verify the<br />

operation. As a result of monitoring, the following is considered as an error:<br />

(1) When connection to the SMTP server fails.<br />

(2) When an error is notified as a response to the command.<br />

Displaying and changing the SMTP monitor resource details<br />

1. Click Monitors on the tree view displayed on the left side of the Builder window.<br />

2. List of the monitor resources is displayed in the table view on the right side of the screen.<br />

Right click the target SMTP monitor resource, and click the Parameter tab in the Monitor<br />

Resource Property window.<br />

3. On the Parameter tab, you can display and/or change the detailed settings by following the<br />

description below.<br />

IP Address SuspendResume<br />

You must specify the IP address of the SMTP server to be monitored. Default value: 127.0.0.1<br />

Port No. SuspendResume<br />

Specify the port number of the SMTP to be monitored. You must specify this port number.<br />

Default value: 25<br />

User Name Within 255 bytes SuspendResume<br />

Specify the user name to log on to SMTP. If no user name is specified, SMTP authentication is<br />

not per<strong>for</strong>med.<br />

Default value: None<br />

Password Within 255 bytes SuspendResume<br />
