Moving or failing over a group (armfover command)<br />

armfover.exe: the armfover.exe command moves or fails over a group<br />

Command line:<br />

armfover.exe [/F] group_name<br />

Description This command moves or fails over a group.<br />

A group is moved or failed over to a server other than the current one<br />

that is operating normally and has the highest priority.<br />

Parameter<br />

Return Value<br />

/F Fails over a group.<br />

When this parameter is omitted, a group is moved.<br />

When a group is failed over, “FAILOVER” is set to the<br />

environment value of the start script “CLP_EVENT”<br />

on the destination server.<br />

When a group is moved, “START” is set to the<br />

environment value of the start script “CLP_EVENT”<br />

on the destination server.<br />

group_name Specifies the name of the group to be moved or failed<br />

over.<br />

0 Success (the group was moved or failed over).<br />

7 The specified group has not been started.<br />

8 The <strong>ExpressCluster</strong> Server service has not been started.<br />

9 The parameter is invalid.<br />

Notes Do not run this command directly from the start or stop script. When<br />

using this command from those scripts, prepare the batch file on which<br />

the command is described, and then run the batch file on the start or stop<br />

script by writing “START batch_file_name” on it.<br />

Remarks This command can be specified both in and outside scripts. When<br />

running this command on the start or stop script, follow the steps on<br />

Notes.<br />
